Vimala Raman, Archana(Veda) , Shashank, Krishnudu and others team up for this so called murder mystery and the
movie has been directed by Satish Vegesna. Boppana Chandrasekhar has produced this film and music has been scored by Srivasanth. Kulu Manali released today across Andhra Pradesh, so let us see how the film is.
Story :
Krishnudu, Rishi (Shashank) and their gang of friends head to Kulu Manali to have some fun. But their trip soon turns into a journey of horror as a mysterious masked and hooded killer starts hunting them one by one. They are frightened and decide to seek the help of Inspector Pravallika (Vimala Raman) and a local guide Harsha (Harsha Vardhan).
They soon realise that the killer has a motive behind the attacks and they set about trying to find that out. Meanwhile, time is running out as the killer succeeds in killing off the friends one by one. Pravallika also discovers that the friends have a dark past. Will the killer be found in time? What is the dark secret shared by the friends? That forms the rest of the story.
Plus Points :
Vimala Raman and Archana look decent in their roles. If you can overlook her bad characterization (more on this later), Vimala Raman actually dances and fights well. Same goes for Archana. She is a natural hottie and it is sad to see them play these kind of flicks. Shashank is good but he has nothing much to do. Harsha Vardhan and Vinay Mohan are ok and they manage to bring about the rare laugh from the audience.
Minus Points :
This is the perfect example of a torturous flick. The story is a blatant lift of so many Hollywood films that it is difficult to keep track. The screenplay is atrocious, the etching of the characters is terrible and there are moon sized craters in the script.
The narration is very bad and the placement of the songs should have been thought about. The ‘suspense’ elements actually turn out to be comical and will leave you scratching your head. The movie keeps meandering aimlessly in the second half and some sharp editing here would have helped.
There is no proper conviction in the way the ‘revenge’ angle was established. In short, this is everything a movie should not be.
Technical Aspects :
Cinematography is alright and background music is just about ok in places. Editing could have been a lot better, especially in the second half. There is nothing much to write home about in the dialogues department. Production values are average.
Verdict :
Kulu Manali is a film which can safely and securely be avoided. There is absolutely nothing in it for anyone. If you are a fan of Vimala Raman and Archana, you will have more fun browsing for their photographs online than watching them in this mess.

Karuppampatti is an Indian Tamil-language film directed by newcomer Tha. Prabhu Raja Cholan, a former associate of S. Shankar. It stars Ajmal, alongside Aparnaa Bajpai and Archana in lead roles.The film was released in 22 March 2013.
Whats Karuppampatti 2013 Movies Story.......
In February 2010, Tha. Prabhu Raja Cholan, a former associate of director Shankar, announced that he would make a titled Karuppampatti, which would be produced by Sundar K it would have cinematography by P. G. Muthaiah and music by D. Imaan. However before production, the team was changed and it was announced that Santhosh Sriram. would be the cinematographer and Kannan of Tamil Padam fame would be the music composer. The producer of the film approached Hindi actress Sonam Kapoor to play the lead role in the film, but were unsuccessful in convincing her to debut in Tamil films with this venture. Hence Aparnaa Bajpai, who had made her debut in Sasikumar's Easan, was signed on to play the leading female role in the film. The shooting of the film began in May 2010 and posters featuring Ajmal with the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, walking in snow, and studying in a university classroom abroad were released. It was also reported that Ajmal plays a dual role as father and son and that the film will be set in two backdrops that of a village and the city, with the director remarking the film would show a person's journey through life from Karuppampatti village near Trichy to Paris, France. A song titled "Oh Indira" was shot with Ajmal and Archana in May 2010 at AVM Studios, Chennai with a 1970s bar set out up.The team shot a schedule in Pazhani in December 2010 and then returned in August 2011, when Ajmal refused to engage in a scene where there is a kiss sequence with Aparnaa Bajpai and eventually ended up kissing her on the cheek instead. The final portions of the film were canned in Paris, France and in Valsassina and Lecco, Italy in February 2012 where scenes featuring Ajmal and Italian model Alice Tantardini were
canned.In April 2012, it was announced that Bappi Lahiri would sing a song for the film titled "Naughty Raja Raja" and the team audaciously attempted to bring in international pop star Katy Perry to feature in the music video.To make most of use of Ajmal's popularity in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries, the director confirmed that the film would be dubbed and released in the latter two languages. Ajmal also completed his dubbing for the film in French after taking lessons in the language to ensure his voice remains constant in the film.
