The boys leave the hostel, Meera and her friends decides to drink whereas Meera refuses to do so but due to her friends she sips a bit of vodka. While dancing Meera falls from the hostel rooms window and dies. Krishna gets upset. Everyone starts to speak about Meera in a wrong way even Meera's father gets angry about Meera getting drunk. Seeing all this Krishna gets angry and starts to beat his senior.

After three years Krishna is in his final year, he becomes stubborn and rude. He is in the final year and Satya (Samyuktha Hegde) his junior doing her first year in electrical stream falls in love with Krishna. Krishna and his friends get apart due to fight and he forms another group.

Krishna stands for the college election and also wins the election and becomes president of the college. Satya wants to change Krishna. She wants to make Krishna as he was in the first year of college. Satya and Krishna go for a long drive where Krishna and Satya do some mischievous things which brings a smile on Krishna's face. Satya takes Krishna to Meera''s house unknowingly. Krishna sees Meera's parents and her photos in the house and gets emotional. Meera's father apologizes for not trusting his daughter and thanks Krishna for the diary which he gave after Meera's death. Meera's dad gives the diary to Krishna and asks him to read it. Krishna leaves the house and on his way he goes to the sex worker's house whom he and Meera had helped during her labor pain. Krishna sees the sex worker's child and gets emotional as her name is also Meera. Krishna leaves the house and meets Satya, she tells him that he is lost in his past and asks him to come to the reality and leaves from there giving an emoji badge to him.

Prakash (Akkineni Nagarjuna), a carefree, mischievous student graduates from College. During his celebration with his friends, he gets into a road accident. Although the accident is only minor, during medical tests, he is diagnosed with terminal cancer and has a few months to live. Unable to hear his mother's constant wailing, he packs his bags and leaves to his family's vacation home in Ooty.

There, he meets Geetanjali (Girija Shettar), who enjoys playing pranks on people around her. In one incident, Geetanjali asks a guy to meet her near a church after sundown to elope with her. When he comes to meet her, she along with her sisters and friends play an elaborate prank by dressing up as ghosts to scare him away. When she tries to pull the same prank on Prakash, who is already aware of this, it backfires as he pulls a bigger prank on her by dressing himself as a vampire and along with aerial wire stunts, scares her.

After being unsuccessful in scaring Prakash away, Geetanjali forms another plan in which she complains to her grandmother that Prakash had asked her (Geetanjali) to elope with him. Furious at this knowledge, Geetanjali's grandmother confronts Prakash about it. Though Prakash tries his best to explain the truth, Geetanjali's grandmother chides him and humiliates him in public. Prakash becomes angry and retaliates by driving Geetanjali to a hillside area and leaving her there. Later that night, Geetanjali's youngest sister comes to Prakash and tells him that Geetanjali has still not returned home and they are getting worried about her. Prakash goes out to look for her and upon finding her shivering in the cold, brings her back to her family. Geetanjali's grandmother scolds Prakash for pulling such a stunt on Geetanjali as such things could have worsened her health condition. Curious at this, Prakash inquires about her health. To his dismay, he finds out that she has a terminal illness. This intrigues him as she is always happy and energetic. Geetanjali tells him that she's not worried about her impending death as everyone who lives in this world will be gone someday. She also tells him that she's not bothered about what happens in the future and she only lives for today. This teaches Prakash to take his own impending death in stride and live life to the fullest.

Prakash begins to fall in love with Geetanjali and pursues her. Thinking that this is also a part of his mischief, Geetanjali keeps putting him off. But one thing leads to another and soon, she too reciprocates his love. One day, Prakash's mother comes to visit him and finds out about her son's love. Not knowing that Prakash has been keeping his illness a secret from Geetanjali, his mother blurts out the truth to Geetanjali. She becomes heart-broken knowing that Prakash's condition is worse than her own. She confronts Prakash and tells him to leave her. Prakash reminds Geetanjali that everyone dies one day and so will he. He tells her that his death is no exception. But a devastated Geetanjali admits that his own life is more important to her than her own and she would not be able to see his death. She begs him to leave her and tells him that she doesn't want to see him again. That night, Geetanjali's health worsens and she is admitted in the hospital. After getting the news, Prakash rushes to the hospital to meet her, but Geetanjali's father, who happens to be a doctor, requests him to leave since Geetanjali wishes the same. Prakash becomes sad and decides to leave the town. At the same time, Geetanjali undergoes an operation for her heart. Hours after her operation, Geetanjali slowly opens her eyes. Her whole family rejoices at her recovery. Geetanjali looks at her father and tells him that she wants to meet Prakash. The family finds out that he is planning to leave the town and rush Geetanjali to the railway station. Prakash sees Geetanjali and turns back to run to her and hold her hand which she outstretches. The movie ends as Geetanjali and Prakash reunite and kiss.

Sadly, poor technical quality, a slow screenplay and mediocre making makes this two-hour-long film seem way past its duration. The film ends up being an excruciating test of patience and endurance for the viewer.

Newbie Vikranth Hegde has decent screen presence, but this is definitely not the dream launch vehicle that it was touted to be. The rest of the cast too don't stand out. Barring one melodious tune sung by Vijay Prakash, there isn't much to write home about this film. Watch it at your own risk, if you please.

Shaitan starts off with Amy (Kalki Koechlin), who is mentally disturbed and deeply affected by the attempted suicide and eventual institutionalisation of her mother, Saira. She moves from Los Angeles to Mumbai, where she meets KC (Gulshan Devaiya) at a party her parents forcefully take her to. KC introduces her to his gang – Dash (Shiv Pandit), Zubin (Neil Bhoopalam) and Tanya (Kirti Kulhari). They lead a directionless life, having fun, drinking, using drugs and driving around in a Hummer. On one such occasion, they start racing a random car and win. In the celebration rush, they run over two people riding on a scooter, killing them instantly.

They quickly leave the spot but are easily traced down by a slimy cop, Inspector Malwankar (Rajkummar Rao), who demands ₹ 2,500,000 ($41,500) to drop the case. Dash tells them about a friend (Rajat Barmecha) who faked his own brother's kidnapping and extracted ₹ 2 million from his own parents. After Amy volunteers to be the kidnapping victim, they hatch a plan. Upon receiving the ransom call, Amy's father, contrary to their expectations immediately approaches Police Commissioner (Pavan Malhotra) for help. The Police Commissioner assigns an upright cop Arvind Mathur (Rajeev Khandelwal) to solve the case unofficially, as he is on suspension after throwing a corporator from the first floor of his own house for allegedly beating up a woman. Inspector Mathur is shown to be having a disturbed married life and nearly divorces his wife.

The group of youngsters then hide in a shady hotel, acting upon the plan hatched by Dash. When Tanya is nearly raped by a man, they react violently and kill him. They escape from the lodge and hide out in a cinema hall, where Amy finds a packet of cocaine in Dash's satchel. Tanya is deeply disturbed by their recent actions, and convinces Zubin to take her home. While Zubin leaves to find a taxi, Tanya gets into an altercation with Amy. Amy, while under the influence of cocaine, is convinced that the phone call that Tanya was making to her sister was actually to the police. In the physical confrontation that follows, KC severely injures Tanya. Zubin, upon returning, finds the gruesome scene and flees. He is later arrested by the police while attempting to leave the city. Dash takes Amy and KC to a church in the outskirts of Mumbai and instructs them to hide there while he tries to figure things out with Malwankar.

The arrested Zubin, in the meantime, reveals the entire scenario to the police. They track down Malwankar, who was attempting to escape with his wife. In the ensuing chase, Malwankar is nearly killed in a truck collision. While buying food, the exasperated KC sees his handicapped sister being traumatised by the media. He then calls his father and asks him for help. Using this call, the police trace the trio to the church. Upon returning to the church, KC tells the other two everything and tries to convince Amy to leave the church with him. Dash, however, confronts him and the two get into a bloody confrontation. It ends with Dash beating KC to death. Dash then tries to get Amy to leave the church with him. However, a cocaine-fuelled Amy has a traumatic flashback involving her mother trying to drown her as a child. In this frenzy, she stabs Dash, who is trying to restrain her. She is then found by Inspector Mathur.

The police, despite knowing the truth, get the three surviving friends to sign a statement saying that Dash had kidnapped all four. This is done to save the reputation of the much-maligned police force. Mathur then meets his wife, indicating a possible reconciliation. The film ends with Amy being resigned to the convent, which she always feared, albeit with her mother's name (Saira).

1921 opens in 1927: Ayush is a celebrated piano maestro who is reluctant to come on stage. As he drowns his sorrows in alcohol, a single tear staining the make up on his face, the scene flashes back to 1921. Ayush is a piano prodigy. Spotting his talent, his mentor Wadia (Vikram Bhatt) sponsors the young man’s studies in England with one caveat – that Ayush also take on the role of caretaker of Wadia’s stately home in York. Zarine Khan in 1921. York circa 1921 is a gloomy, foggy place with barely any sunlight and lots of Indians dropping dead. The aspiring pianist Ayush (Karan Kundra), who travels from India to York to study music, discovers this in the most horrifying way. Part-time student, part-time caretaker of a vast mansion, who makes an additional living by conducting private piano recitals in the house, his finely balanced life is shattered by the presence of malevolent spirits. It’s rather convenient that another student in the same town is a medium that communicates with the spirit world. Ayush seeks out Rose (Zareen Khan) and implores her to help him rid his house of this paranormal activity. Rose is a fan of Ayush’s music, and readily agrees to help a man she has long adored from afar. During the course of their paranormal partnership, and between solving the mystery of the vagrant spirits, love blossoms between them. But as their intimacy increases, so does the malevolence of the hovering spirits. The scares, with a dependence on smoke machines, sound effects and shadowy figures, that build the atmosphere and frights in the first hour are frittered away later. Writer-director Vikram Bhatt adds in every horror film trope and genre trick into a story that in the end has no top or bottom – much like some of its decapitated zombie characters. There are disquieted spirits, a reference to the Mongolian plague and a vengeance plot line. Given that this is a template Bhatt film, there are quite a few songs, which are indistinguishable from one another. Their song picturisation is also bland. Some effort to play piano might have gone so way in convincing us that Kundra might be a musician, leave alone portraying a maestro. Since that kind of attention to detail seems superfluous to Bhatt, there’s no point expecting Victorian era period correctness in the costumes and production design either. The storyline gets more and more twisted as we go along the 2 hours 24 minutes running time. Khan and Kundra put on their most sincere faces and you genuinely believe they want to get out of this situation alive. But it’s hard for the audience to keep a straight face as Bhatt’s screenplay bumps along from ghostly to ghastly. A fellow audience member described it best: It’s like an onion—you cry as you peel it and you can keep peeling it and keep crying, but you can also stop at any time.

The film opens with an ancient Chinese mother and daughter. They seem to spend happy moments with each other with the mother being pregnant. The movie then moves to the present where a happy couple Krishnakanth aka Krish (Siddharth) and Lakshmi (Andrea Jeremiah) make love, bringing in their memories of the times they met and how their love blossomed. They suddenly notice that a new family is moving into the next house. Krish is a neurosurgeon who specializes in deep brain stimulation (DBS) to cure Parkinson's. He is close to another doctor, Dr. Prasad, who is a psychiatrist. The two families get along well, with Jennifer aka Jenny, who is the eldest daughter having a crush on Krish. Everything goes well when suddenly during a dinner party, Krish sees Jenny jumping into the nearby well. Informing the family, he jumps into the well and saves her. Lakshmi who got angry on Krish for jumping into the deep well, quarrells with him on that night after which Krish forcefully kisses her and both ends up in having sex. That very night, Jenny is attacked with seizures and once again, Krish helps her in time. During another dinner at Krish's house, Jenny panics by seeing a strange figure and her parents forcefully take her home. The people in the house start noticing strange things. The next morning, Jenny, once again without being self-aware, goes towards a cliff to jump, Sarah, who follows her, slips towards another cliff, but is saved by Krish. When Paul goes towards Jenny to stop her, she herself returns home without saying anything, while still in a zombie state & passes out in the house. Her father then takes her to the psychiatrist on Krish's recommendation and she reveals two specific things that she thought was abnormal: a voice speaking to her in Chinese and another terrifying incident in the toilet. The psychiatrist feels that something is wrong and visits her room one day with the permission of her father who takes her out. He tries to decipher her mental state by reading the condition of her room, while also finding recent internet searches about ghosts in her tablet, and a book about exorcism lying in her drawer. By seeing all this, he concludes that Jenny must've made up an image in her mind that she's possessed by a spirit. So, he, Krish, and Jenny's dad plan to administer fake exorcism with the help of a church pastor, Father Joshua in order to bind the spirit. All hell breaks loose in doing so, revealing that she is really possessed by a powerful spirit of the Chinese mother, resulting in Father Joshua getting injured and admitted to the hospital in a comatose state. Jenny returns to a normal state, but to confirm what is going on, her grandfather calls on to a psychic. But Jenny's father dismisses him. One night, the servant in the house prepares a voodoo doll to chase the bad spirit, but is scolded by Paul not to do occult in house. The same night, she is hit by the ghost in the same way as the voodoo doll , while being wrapped by her own shawl, impaled on the head by a nail. The next morning, when Paul looks around her room, he finds the Voodoo doll under the bed and what appears to be fingernail marks below the bed frame. Evidently spooked, he tells his father to call the psychic. Using his power, the psychic talks to the spirit, who signals to him that there are not two, but three spirits in the house, with the third one being revealed to actually be a malevolent force which would not let them leave the house. Lakshmi announces that she is pregnant, but within a few days, she falls off a ladder, while seeing a scary figure on the water tank, who was actually attempting to cause her a miscarriage, but the child survives. Krish gets suspended as he was constantly distracted by these figures, while in the operation theater causing a hemorrhage to the patient being operated. Dr. Prasad, with the help of a local police inspector, starts researching about a family that used to live in that house finding out that there was a single eye witness who knew what happened to the family. Simultaneously, the psychic too, using the comb which belonged to the Chinese daughter, begins to place the pieces of the mystery. When Dr. Prasad and Krish go to see the witness in a village, she tells a flashback when she was eight years old. It is revealed that the house belonged to a rich Chinese silk merchant who lived with his wife and daughter. He wished that his pregnant wife should bear a male child. As he was a Satan worshiper, he had to sacrifice a girl child during the time of the solar eclipse to get a male child. To achieve this purpose, he kidnapped the then eight year old witness when she was collecting flowers in the garden nearby as usual. The eight year old witness was saved just in time by his wife, which left him with no option, but to sacrifice his own daughter. He hit his wife, until she became unconscious. Luring his child slowly, he beheads her using a sacrificial sword. His wife, regaining her senses, couldn't bear the sight of her dead daughter on the floor. Cursing her husband, she took a knife and pierced herself in the abdomen, killing herself, and the unborn child telling him that she does not need a male child by sacrificing a girl child. The husband realizing his loss takes away his life by drowning himself in the nearby well. Coming back to the present, the father orders his family to pack up and leave the house. Lakshmi is being chased in the hospital by the two spirits only to guide her to Father Joshua’s room. Being the day of the solar eclipse, the old woman speculates that the Chinese merchant would return to complete his ritual. Lakshmi calls Krish and tells him that she is discharged and is headed to see Jenny. Krish too comes back from the village at the request of Lakshmi to stay with Jenny. Lakshmi then tricks Krish and locks him in Jenny's room for impeding him till the eclipse ends. She then reveals what Father Joshua had seen on the day of exorcism. Though Jenny was set free, some other force tried to stop the prayers of Father Joshua in the room. The force was from none other than Krish. When Krish had jumped into the well the other night to save Jenny, the Chinese merchant’s spirit possessed him. Meanwhile, the psychiatrist being in the same room as Krish also figures that the Chinese merchant and Krish have common dates of birth. Krish being possessed, kills the psychiatrist in a gruesome way and escapes through the window. It was from Krish that the spirits of the Chinese mother and the Chinese daughter were trying to protect the family by frightening them to leave the house. As the eclipse begins, the spirit of the Chinese merchant takes full control of Krish and he begins searching for his target, which is revealed to be Sarah to sacrifice and complete the ritual. Though he lures her and tries to kill her, the family members and the spirits of the Chinese mother and the Chinese daughter fight with Krish by trying to distract him, until the eclipse ends and they finally succeed in removing the spirit from his body. In the end, Krish and Lakshmi are shown to be settled in Goa. Jenny, along with her dad comes to meet them. When Jenny requests to meet their son, it is shown and revealed to the viewers that Krish, being possessed with the Chinese merchant’s spirit had made love to Lakshmi resulting in a baby actually born of the Chinese merchant instead, which the couple are unaware of. The film ends by showing the camera being panned towards the boy seated in a room, slowly revealing his face & focusing on the iris of his eye which then splits into double iris and the screen cuts to black.

In this outing, the Godfather is joined by his grandson Shivaji Nagre(Amit Sadh), who loves and hates his grandfather with equal intensity. Will Shivaji betray Subhash? Or will he become a prey to his grandfather’s machinations? SARKAR 3 REVIEW: We have lived with the protagonist and premise of this franchise for 12 years now. That explains the sense of déjà vu while watching the third part. But it also accounts for the audience staying invested in Sarkar right from the start. Having lost his two sons Vishnu (Kay Kay Menon) and Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) earlier, he has aged but not mellowed. Now he is kept insulated for the most part, by two lieutenants Gokul(Ronit) and Raman(Parag). His wife Pushpa(Supriya) is ailing and he does his best to shield her. Proceedings pick up with the entry of his estranged grandson Shivaji aka Cheeku. The hard-nosed youngster picks up the scent of traitourness from Gokul, who secretly aspires to supersede the don. Even as the power-struggle within the four walls of the Nagre home intensifies, outsiders like Govind Deshpande (Manoj), a power-hungry political aspirant, a greedy Dubai-based businessman, Michael Vallya(Jackie) and a power-broker Gandhi(Bajrangbali), make their own pitches to destroy Sarkar. Coming to the all-important question—is Ram Gopal Varma of Shiva, Satya, Company and the first part of Sarkar back in form? Well, you can see some flashes of the filmmaker’s intensity here. His Mahabharatha tale or palace politics as it is termed, plays out uninterruptedly. However there isn’t much intrigue because most of the twists are easy to guess. Some of the dialogue is pithy but then again, this accounts for little. The brooding palette of shadow and light that has been the trademark of this franchise is retained, as is the Govinda chant that works as a terrific background score. The Ganesh-aarti rendered by Bachchan is spellbinding; the iconic actor is also in top form, mesmerizing you with his grey shades and grey irises. For his legion of fans, this one is an important outing. Amit, Manoj, Jackie and Ronit lend weightage. However, the actresses--Yami, Supriya and Rohini are short-changed.

Katappa continues to narrate the story of how he ended up killing Bahuballi. After vanquishing the Kalakeyas, Amarendra Bahubali is declared the future King and Bhallala Deva is declared the Commander in Chief.Before the coronation, Queen Mother Sivagami begins to look for a bride for Amarendra. She instructs Amarendra and Kattappa to tour the kingdom to understand its current state and its people. Amarendra falls in love with the Devasena who is a princess of the Kuntala Kingdom and the sister of the king of Kuntala. Bhallala Deva learns of Amarendra's attempts to woo Devasena and hatches a plot to drive a wedge between Amarendra and Sivagami by asking for Devasena's hand in marriage for himself. Sivagami unaware that Amarendra is in love with Devasena promises Bhalladeva, Devasenas hand in marriage. When Sivagami sends over a convoy to the kingdom of Kuntala, the Mahismati emissary makes the marriage proposal in an arrogant way.Devasena rejects the marriage proposal with harsh words.Sivagami is engraged to hear Devasenas response and orders that Devasena be brought to Mahismati as a captive. The kingdom of Kuntala is attacked by Pinjaris, a decoit like army.Amarendra ,with the help of Devasenas cousin, KumaraVarma are able to nullify the attack and save Kuntala. Amarendra reveals who he is, tries to allay the fears of Sivagami's rage and convinces Devasena to come with him to Mahismati, as his future bride. Upon reaching Mahismati the misunderstanding comes to light. Sivagami delivers an ulitmatum to Amarendra that he must either chose the throne or Devasena and he chooses the latter. Bhalladeva is coronated as the King and Amarendra is made the Commander in Chief but its quite obvious that Amarendra is still the peoples king. At Devasena's baby shower, Bhalladeva relieves Amarendra of his duties as Commander in chief so that Amarendra can be with his wife. Devasena immediately speaks out against the King's manipulation and the mute inaction of Sivagami.Due to further clashes, Devasena and Amarendra are banished from the Palace.Amarendra and Devasena live happily among the people . Balladeva hatches a plot to convince Sivagami that Amarendra is trying to assassinate him.Sivagami convinced that Balla deva's life is under threat and open action would result in factions and civil war, orders Katappa to assassinate Amarendra. Katappa bound by his word to serve the Queen, draws Amarendra by feigning as if he is in trouble, and then stabs him in the back and kills him. Katappa learns of Ballaladeva's treachery and informs Sivagami. Devasena too arrives to learn of her husbands death with her son, Mahendra Bahabali in her arms. Sivagami informs the panicked hordes outside her palace that Amarendra is dead and the baby,Mahendra is the new King. As Bhalladeva and his men are about to seize the Queen, she flees with Mahendra Bahubali. Devasena is taken prisoner. Mahendra Bahubali returns to the palace and defeats Bhalladeva and becomes the new King of Mahismati.
