Vijeta (The Victor) is the coming-of-age story of Angad (Kunal Kapoor). Confused like any other teenager trying to find himself and caught in between the marital problems of his Maharashtrian mother Neelima (Rekha) and Punjabi father Nihal (Shashi Kapoor), it is time for him to decide what he wants to do with his life. Angad chooses to become a fighter pilot with the Indian Air Force. What follows is his struggle to become a victor both with his self and the outer world. Angad is attracted to Anna Verghese (Supriya Pathak), who is the daughter of his flying instructor (Amrish Puri). Angad must learn to adapt to flying, leaving his mom and dad for long periods of time, as well as try and woo Anna who helps him overcome his fears and realize his potential as a fighter pilot. Nihal is a clean shaven Sikh, Neelima is a Hindu, Angad is a Sikh and Anna a Christian, while Angad's fellow officers represent all religion.
The film is notable for some rarely seen aerial photography of combat aircraft active with the IAF in 1980s. The central character of Angad is a MiG-21 pilot and is shown flying the aircraft in ground attack role in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Much of the movie, including the climax involving a MiG-21bis, was shot at Pune. The IAF No.4 Squadron (the 'Oorials') provided the pilots and planes for the film's aerial sequences. The movie included good color footage of the Oorials aircraft in flight and in operation.

Vijay and Rajni have been childhood sweethearts in a small town called Rajgarh. They did separate for a few years when Rajni and her maternal grandma, Leela, went to live in Calcutta. When Rajni returns, fully matured, both rekindle their romance, much to the chagrin of Kundan and his mom. Kundan's mom creates all kinds of misunderstandings between Vijay and Rajni, and Vijay's conduct, especially
gambling, lying, and telling tall stories, does not help. Then Vijay is arrested by the police and held in jail. When he is discharged, he swears to turn his life around and be worthy of Rajni, leaves Rajgarh, finds employment in Durgapur as a truck driver. When he returns home he finds that Rajni and Leela have re-located to Calcutta where Rajni is to be married to a man named Ravi Shankar. A heartbroken Vijay goes to Calcutta to locate Rajni, but is unable to locate her. He falls into bad company, takes to alcohol, and then one day one of his new-found friends' abducts a woman - who turns out to be Rajni. When Vijay and Rajni come face to face there is nothing but hatred between them. Rajni walks out of Vijay's life. When they meet again in Dhanbad, Rajni is married to Ravi Shankar, who lives there with his sister, Manju. Watch what happens when Vijay re-enters Rajni's life and the reaction it has on Ravi and Manju.

Kewal (Raj Kapoor) reluctantly accepts his father (Kamal Kapoor)'s demands to continue the family tradition by
studying law and become a successful lawyer just like him. However, due to a lack of interest in becoming a lawyer and more interest in opening up his own theatre company, he fails his law exams and is thrown out of the house by his father. Luckily he finds a patron of the arts Rajan, (Premnath) who is the owner of a theater company, that has closed down. A childhood romance with a girl named Nimmi haunts his fantasies, and Kewal searches for her in other women, even renaming them after his former sweetheart. With a theater, a play and a feminine image in his mind, he discovers a woman made homeless by Partition (Nargis) and the play of his dreams can at last be written and performed.Aag (Hindi: आग; English: Fire) is a 1948 Bollywood film which is produced, directed by and stars Raj Kapoor. The film marked the debut of Raj Kapoor as producer and director and was the first film produced by his R.K. Banner. Nargis, Premnath, Nigar Sultana and Kamini Kaushal also starred in supporting roles. Raj Kapoor's youngest brother Shashi Kapoor appeared as a child artist in this film playing the younger version of his character (Kewal). This was the first film in which Raj Kapoor and Nargis appeared together.
