Guddu (Ajay Devgn), a small time crook gets double-crossed by his own colleague, Pintu (Manoj Pahwa), after they have managed to get their hands on an illegal booty. Guddu & his sidekick Johnny (Sanjay Mishra) manage to trace his colleague but only after Pintu has given the information of the booty to three other groups i.e. Avinash (Anil Kapoor) & Bindu (Madhuri Dixit) - a bickering couple about to be divorced; Lallan (Riteish Deshmukh) & Jhingur (Pitobash Tripathy) – Fire Officers turned offenders & two weird siblings Aditya (Arshad Warsi) & Manav (Javed Jaffrey). All of them refuse Guddu's offer to distribute the money and the race to reach the booty first begins. Finally after many ups & downs all reach the designated place. But it's not as easy as it seems. Is there any truth about the hidden booty? Or all of them are being fooled? After a day full of life changing, near death experiences, will the adventure ever end or another one begin? Simmba (lit. Lion) is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Yunus Sajawal and Sajid-Farhad. A spin-off of the Singham franchise, the film was produced by Shetty under his banner Rohit Shetty Picturez and Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner Dharma Productions. It stars Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood, with Ajay Devgn reprising his role of Bajirao Singham. The film follows Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer hailing from the same town as Singham, who is forced to lead a more righteous path after tragedy strikes those near him.

While some action sequences were based on those from the Telugu-language film Temper (2015), the plot of Simmba remained original.[4] It has an estimated production budget of ₹80 crore (US$11 million). Principal photography began in June 2018 with most scenes filmed in Goa and Kolhapur and the remaining filmed at Hyderabad and Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. Shooting was wrapped up by early December in the same year. The film's soundtrack was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Lijo George - DJ Chetas and S. Thaman, with lyrics written by Shabbir Ahmed, Rashmi Virag, Kumaar and Kunaal Verma.

Simmba was released in countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council on 27 December 2018. The film will release in India and other international territories on the following day; it was distributed worldwide by Reliance Entertainment.

Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh) is an antiheroic orphan-turned-cop from Shivgadh, the same town where Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) was raised. Contrary to Bajirao's integrity, Simmba enjoys and takes full advantage of the lifestyle of a corrupt cop. However, when Simmba's loved ones are abused, he finds himself transformed and forced to choose a more righteous path.

He wants to relocate to the U.S. for a better future. He falls in love with Mira (Kareena Kapoor), whom he just met. One day, Arjun and Mira get into a quarrel on the road and Mira gets into an auto. Arjun gets lift from Michael to catch up with Mira, who is going that way. Suddenly, Michael is hit by a bullet and he is saved by Arjun. After talking to Michael, Arjun changes his mind and wants to be a politician. Prosenjit is worried when he hears news of students standing in the election. He uses every possible way to get them out of Politics.Firstly he provides scholarship of a prestigious foreign university to Michael. When Michael refuses the bribe, he orders his goon Gopal Singh to take control. Gopal beats some students but faces very strong retaliation from Michael and his fellow students. After that Lallan Singh takes charge and kills Gopal. He kidnaps Arjun and other candidates. However, they manage to escape with the help of Lallan Singh's ally. Lallan follows Arjun and beats him up. While running, Arjun manages to call Michael for help. He comes to rescue Arjun at Howrah Bridge. Then Lallan is handed to the police. Michael wins the four seats he and his fellow students have contested for. Shashi leaves for her hometown while Lallan remains in prison. Michael, Arjun and two friends enter into politics.
