In Bollywood, there are certain people, for whom the saying 'out of sight, out of mind' refuses to be true. The western import to Bollywood aka Sunny Leone is definitely one of them! Despite having not a single release since the last year (her last release was RAGINI MMS 2), still, her films are awaited with same enthusiasm and excitement. If one Sunny Leone wasn't enough, this week's release EK PAHELI LEELA sees Sunny Leone in a double role! Will Sunny live upto providing double the excitement or will this double role saga land mean double-trouble at the Box-Office windows for Sunny and the film, let's analyze!
The film starts off with the introduction of Karan (Jay Bhanushali) who gets up suddenly from a disturbed sleep because of a few 'torturous memories' that have been torturing him ever since the time he moved into a new house. Around the same time, the viewers are also treated to the introduction of the London based eye-candy supermodel Meera (Sunny Leone). Once, without asking Meera, her business manager Andy (Andy) plans a trip to Rajasthan (India), because he had already committed to the client by taking an advance for the shoot. Despite her refusal to come to India, Andy and his friends manage to get her to shoot in Rajasthan. Amidst their shooting, a rich prince Ranveer Singh (Mohit Ahlawat), who sees Meera, falls for her enchanting beauty. Gradually, the duo fall in love and get married. Meanwhile, in an attempt to solve his sleeping disorder and disturbing dreams, a very worried and distressed Karan meets up with a 'Nadi Shastra' guru, who tells him that he has taken birth in this janambecause of certain tasks which were left incomplete 300 years ago. He also adds that, during that time, he wasn't able to marry his lover Meera (Sunny Leone). He adds that the reason for their love failure were of the evil ways of Bhairav (Rahul Dev), who was so much besotted with Leela's beauty that he carved a lifelike idol! Wasting no time, in search of his lost love, Karan reaches Rajasthan. Even though he wants to tell the 300 year saga to Meera, he understands the fact that, Leela, who is now Meera, is happily married to Ranveer.
Does Karan manage to convince Meera about their past lives, will he ever be able to rekindle the age old love in Meera aka Leela's heart for him, what ultimately happens to Leela's idol that Bhairav had so finely crafted, and what is the unexpected twist in the tale that changes the story of history, is what forms the rest of the film.
The film not just marks Bobby Khan's directorial debut in Bollywood, but also Sunny Leone's 'double role debut' in Bollywood. As far as Bobby Khan and his direction cum writing are concerned, he smoothly sails his way through the film. He (along with Ahmed Khan) has not just done not just a commendable job, but an exceptional job of presenting Sunny Leone in a never-before glam avatar. They have done total justice to the 'expectations' which the audiences have from a Sunny Leone film. Even though the first half is lengthy, the second half is what really works in favor of the film and in the interest of the audience. One has to applaud Bobby for having tackled the skin show aesthetically, which doesn't even, for once, come across as cheap or anything of that sort. All in all, Bobby Khan scores really big with his directorial debut EK PAHELI LEELA.
As far as the performances are concerned, it's a mere child's play to decipher that it is the 'omnipresent' Sunny Leone who leads the film right from the word go. Sunny is equally convincing and at ease in her glam avatar as much as her 'Rajashthan ki chhori' avatar! Watching her groove and gyrate to the beats of the songs is a visual treat in itself. All in all, she delivers a 'paisa vasool' performance in this film. As far as the heroes of the film are concerned, while Jay Bhanushali tries too hard (read 'struggles') with his character, the duo of Rajniesh Duggal and Rahul Dev leave an impact, despite having short roles. The film also sees the return of the 90's supermodel Jas Arora, who, does a decent job in the film. The surprise packet of the film is the towering Mohit Ahlawat, who plays his part with perfection, thus adding the required 'alpha male quotient' to the film. The rest of the characters fill in the gaps to make the film a complete package.
The film's music (Meet Bros Anjjan, Amaal Mallik, Dr. Zeus, Tony Kakkar, Uzair Jaswal) is already a rage with a couple of outstanding tracks. While the film's cinematography (Basha Lal) and screenplay (Jojo Khan) are top-class, the film's dialogues (Bunty Rathore) are decent. The locations of the shoot are superlative and are presented really well. Brownie points to the costume designers for designing such fabulous costumes.
On the whole, EK PAHELI LEELA is worth watching, purely because of Sunny Leone and the way she has been presented… like never before!!!

Sonia (Minissha Lamba) lives with her mother, Mallika (Vidya Malvade) and grandmother (Reema Lagoo); her parents had divorced when she was ten. A fortnight before her eighteenth birthday, she picks an argument with her mother about her coming home late after the Christmas Party. Her mother tells her to stay within limits and arrive home in time. She is reluctant to abide by the rule and after much negotiation demands that she would listen to everything if she gets to meet her father. Then she leaves home and goes swimming in the sea to vent out. Far into the sea, she vanishes underwater. She wakes up in the evening in a cottage which has no exit. At first she doesn't believe that she has been kidnapped and thinks that her friends are playing a prank on her. The abductor Kabir (Imran Khan) tells her how she came there. When she went swimming in the open sea, he pulled her below the water surface and
knocked her unconscious using a bottled chloroform. Meanwhile, everyone is worried at her home. Next morning, her mother receives a call from Kabir wherein he says that he is interested in speaking to Sonia's father, Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt), a New York based Indian business tycoon, with whom he has an old score to settle. Vikrant Raina is introduced as a cruel and heartless but a very wealthy man, worth USD 51.7 billion. He is in India because he believes someone has emptied a large share of his money. Mallika meets him and tells him that Sonia has been kidnapped and that the kidnapper wants to speak only to him. Its around 3 p.m. when the kidnapper calls again. Vikrant and Sonia speak to each other for the first time in eight years. Kabir tells Vikrant that the money is safe in his account. Vikrant wants to know the reason behind the kidnapping. Kabir tells him that he has to do a few things as ransom to release his daughter. The very first of them is saying "Sorry" to Sister Margaret whom he would find on a train from Panvel at 4 p.m. Vikrant says its crazy to reach there in half an hour. But Kabir tells him that she has a clue of how the they can meet. Vikrant is determined to reach the place by 4 and he has to overcome unwarranted circumstances. Sister Margaret hands over a piece of paper which has a poetry written on it. Vikrant knows there is something in it so he involves a detective Irfan (Rahul Dev) who has solved many corporate kidnapping cases successfully in the past. But Kabir is interested in playing a deadly game with Vikrant. He is asked to perform daring tasks (like robbery from a business rival's house) which would reward him with a clue to identify the kidnapper and the motive of kidnapping. The same time Kabir start to lose control with Sonia but still he stays away from her. On the other hand its hard to believe for Sonia that she has been kidnapped. Initially Kabir is good with her but when she tries to stab Kabir by the name of flirting and hurt his leg and he becomes furious so he tries to misbehave her but he understands that this is not his motivation and leaves her but he ties her up. Once Sonia realizes that Kabir is probably frustrated but not a bad human being she gets a little comfortable with him. She subsequently realizes that she is being housed in a bungalow which was once owned by her father. On inquiring further Kabir reveals that several years earlier Vikrant had falsely accused Kabir of kidnapping Sonia. Consequently, Kabir spent his formative years in jail where he underwent undue mental and physical torture. Kabir was simply out to get even with Sonia's father (Vikrant) by kidnapping her for real. Meanwhile, based on the clues he already has, Vikrant figures out that Kabir is his daughter's kidnapper. Subsequently unable to reach Vikrant over the phone Kabir decides to pay him a visit. As planned, Vikrant and Irfan intercept the kidnapper and a chase ensues. Eventually, Kabir leads Vikrant to Sonia. After meeting his daughter briefly, Vikrant is told to dismiss Irfan from the case and he hands over the task to free a prisoner from jail. Vikrant follows the command but during the assignment however, Irfan intervenes and injures Kabir. Injured Kabir is nursed by Sonia when he reaches the bungalow. Despite having an opportunity, she does not escape captivity, due to her experiencing Stockholm syndrome. Based on the clue Vikrant receives after freeing the prisoner from jail, he figures out the location of his captive daughter. On reaching his old bungalow he does not find his daughter or the kidnapper but instead discovers the next clue that requires Vikrant to murder someone at a New Year's eve party. After much deliberation Vikrant commits the murder and realizes that he murdered the kidnapper, Kabir. While Vikrant is guilty and pensive due to the turn of events, Kabir emerges alive. Kabir makes him realize that at that point Vikrant was criminal himself even though he committed the crimes to rescue his daughter. Kabir then asks Vikrant to reflect on the past and decide for himself if Kabir was criminal who deserved the jail time or a teenager who was unduly penalized for an innocent mistake. After, Vikrant apologizes to Kabir, Kabir disappears and his jacket leads Vikrant to the final clue which leads him to his daughter. In the final scene, the Raina family is reunited and enjoying at a gathering. At the gathering, Kabir pays a surprise visit to Sonia and apologizes for the trouble he made her go through. At the end it seems that both Kabir and Sonia wish each other good luck and bid each other good-bye.

The Story si about an orphan and good-hearted lad Simhadri is 'adopted' and grows up under Ram Bhupal Varma's family care in Visakhapatnam. The bond they share is like a father and son. Kasturi is the granddaughter of Ram Bhupal Varma. Kasturi likes Simhadri a lot. Once a week, Simhadri visits a mentally challenged girl called Indu. He entertains her and provides money to her caretakers. When Ram Bhupal Varma and his wife discover Kasturi's wish to marry Simhadri, Ram Bhupal Varma decides to get them married. He makes a formal announcement to officially adopt Simhadri. At this time, it is revealed that Simhadri is very close to Indu. The alliance breaks off when Simhadri refuses to leave Indu. Meanwhile, two separate groups are in search of Simhadri. They find him at the banks of Godavari River along with Indu. In the ensuing confrontation between one group and Simhadri, Indu gets injured. Simhadri is helped by the second group who call him 'Singamalai Anna'. When Indu comes back to her senses, she remembers her past and the first thing she does is stab Simhadri with an iron pole. Simhadri is hospitalized in critical condition. Then we see many buses carrying hoards of people demanding to see 'Singamalai Anna'. The leader of the second group who was searching for Simhadri explains 'Singamalai Anna' story in a flashback. In the flashback, it is revealed that Ram Bhupal Varma's oldest daughter Saraswati elopes with her lover, a Keralite named Aravind. After some harsh words and saddened over Ram Bhupal Varma's rejection over her choice to marry her love, they both settle in Kerala. Learning of the sadness surrounding Ram Bhupal Varma and his
wife, Simhadri takes up the job of uniting the family and visits Thiruvananthapuram. He joins the medical and spiritual therapy spa operated by Saraswati and her family under the disguise of a patient. He finds that Indu is the first granddaughter of Ram Bhupal Varma. He convinces the separated family to reunite and ask for forgiveness. During this time, Saraswati is killed by a local goon Bala Nair. A don named Bhai Saab controls the mafia of Kerala. Nair and Bhai Saab belong to the same mafia. Simhadri takes law into his hands and eradicates Bala Nair and his small gang in Kerala. The local Kerala people starts calling him 'Singamalai'. In the ensuing scenes, Simhadri finds himself developing into "Singamalai," eradicating Bhai Saab's network and illegal activities. Indu finds herself alone and constantly worrying about him. She proposes to her father that they should return to Andhra Pradesh because she cannot stand their home without her mother and Simhadri ignores her now. Indu and Aravind decide to return to Visakhapatnam. Simhadri receives a call that Indu's father is carrying a bomb in his briefcase. Aravind is seen rushing to catch a moving train and Indu was about to lend him a hand. Unable to warn him, Simhadri has two choices: to let Indu's father die, so people on the train can live or let the bomb kill everyone on board, including the father and Indu herself. Simhadri chooses to the first option. As soon as Aravind catches the train bar handle, Simhadri shoots him in the back. Surprised at Simhadri's action; Indu jumps off the train to catch her falling father and she gets hit her head against a pole, causing her amnesia and become mentally challenged. After the flashback ends, people are seen and heard chanting Singamalai Singamalaioutside the hospital. Bhai Saab and his men arrive at the hospital to finish off Simhadri. But Simhadri has gained consciousness with the help of his friends, police and family (now reunited), he takes down Bhai Saab and his army

Nihal Singh (Jackky Bhagnani) is a teen from Chandigarh who loves to build complicated gadgets to learn what it is behind science. He has a brilliant mind and dreams of studying at an elite science institute. When he is accepted into his dream college in Mumbai, he discovers college is a whole new world, new people and new challenges. At school Nihal is attracted to Meesha (Vaishali Desai), a proud, rude brat. She cannot accept that Nihal is managing to charm everyone his way including Professor Siddarth Verma (Rishi Kapoor), the
